Data CounterCase collects
CounterCase does not operate a backend and does not collect case content, customer information, payment credentials, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or crash telemetry. The app does not request access to a payment processor or online store.
Evidence and exports
Imported evidence is copied into managed local storage. CounterCase records a cryptographic checksum to detect missing or changed local files. Packets and archives are created only when the user requests them, and their destination is selected through Apple’s system sharing interface.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. Apple may process purchase and account information under its own privacy policy. CounterCase reads only the StoreKit entitlement needed to determine whether Pro features are available.
Notifications
If permission is granted, deadline reminders are scheduled locally on the device. Notification content is not sent to a CounterCase server.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains until the user removes a case or deletes the app, subject to device backups controlled by the user. Removing a case also removes its managed attachments. Users remain responsible for their own legal and business retention obligations.
